Fringe Benefits

Wedding season is upon us - cue panicked ladies all over the world freaking out over what to wear! If you’re anything like me, everywhere you look are pretty ivory and white outfits that you want to wear….but can’t. And suddenly swimsuit shopping is way more appealing than wedding outfit hunting.

sometimes on a shoot, the ground just wont let you and your stilettos be great! But l stayed professional!

This fringe top is one of my favourite things. I picked it up in one Zara sale knowing it would be a classic piece in my closet. In desperation at having nowhere to wear it (due to no social life!), I’ve found myself a tad overdressed on more than one occasion.

Things I love about it:

  • the colour - suitable for all seasons

  • the cut - perfect to hide a food baby

  • and ofcourse, that fringe!!!

The fringe means I don’t have to stress too much about my trousers - they are covered up! There’s also the fact that you can twirl like you’re wearing a dress which is always a plus. It makes such a statement that there’s really very little else you need to do. On the day of this shoot I forgot my chunky necklace at home which sucked - but in all honesty, it wouldn’t be the end of the world if i turned up at an event just like this.

Back on solid ground!

Back on solid ground!

Zara fringe top, wedding guest outfit

I have scoured the internet and rounded up a few fringe tops for you if this look is up your street! Click on the images for details.

At this juncture I’d like to add that right now I have every outfit under the sun for any type of wedding I could be invited to. And i have no wedding to go to. But next year, after I’ve posted all my outfits online, i’m sure everyone plus my friend’s puppy will be getting married. Because that is sod’s law.

Have a wonderfully stylish week!
